The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. I think it’s a combination of great childhood memories of eating lots of food, homemade ice cream, watching a parade in the hot sun while catching salt water taffy being thrown from floats, light writing with hotter than lava sparklers and of course Fireworks!
So this weeks theme was at least going to be easy to find a subject to shoot the challenge would come in trying to make it look better than average. Having a very interesting foreground element is a great way to make your fireworks images stand out and if you don’t have one you can always improvise and abstract…
The party in the park started with a movie
Then the fireworks started!
West Jordan City put on a great show, the movie was fun and I think we’ll probably try to come here more often (sure is cheaper than buying and lighting off your own, and looks a whole lot better) Maybe next year we’ll grill a little dinner up before the movie…
